Risk Disclosure

Last updated: March 2026  ·  Version 1.0
Read this document carefully before committing any funds to the Protocol.

⚠ YOU MAY LOSE ALL FUNDS YOU COMMIT

Interacting with the DegenBrawlers Protocol involves substantial risk of total loss. Do not commit funds you cannot afford to lose entirely. This is not an investment. There is no guaranteed return. Past rounds do not predict future outcomes.

1Smart Contract Risk

Code Vulnerabilities CRITICAL

Smart contracts may contain bugs, logic errors, or security vulnerabilities that could result in partial or total loss of funds. Although the Protocol code has been reviewed, no smart contract can be guaranteed to be bug-free. A previously unknown vulnerability could be exploited by malicious actors, resulting in funds being drained from the vault.

No Contract Upgrades HIGH

The deployed smart contract is immutable — once deployed, its code cannot be changed. If a critical bug is discovered, the Interface may be taken offline, but existing funds in the vault cannot be recovered by the Interface operators. The Protocol operates autonomously beyond human intervention once deployed.

Irreversibility of Transactions CRITICAL

All blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible. Once you commit SOL to the Protocol, it cannot be withdrawn, reversed, or refunded — not by you, not by us, not by anyone. Only the Protocol's own rules govern when and how tokens may be retrieved.

Unaudited Contract (Devnet) CRITICAL

The current deployment is on devnet (test network) using valueless tokens. The Protocol has not yet undergone a formal third-party security audit. Do not use real SOL until a professional security audit by a reputable firm has been completed and published.

2Solana Network Risk

Network Outages HIGH

The Solana blockchain has experienced network outages and performance degradations in the past. During an outage, transactions may be delayed, dropped, or fail to execute. A voting round deadline could pass during an outage, potentially affecting finalization. Network failures are outside anyone's control.

Hard Forks and Protocol Changes MEDIUM

Solana may undergo hard forks, validator software changes, or other network-level modifications that affect how smart contracts execute. Such changes could impact the Protocol in unforeseen ways.

Transaction Confirmation Delays MEDIUM

During periods of high network congestion, transactions may take longer to confirm than expected. A vote submitted near a deadline may not confirm before the deadline passes.

3SOL Price Volatility

Price Volatility HIGH

SOL and other digital assets are highly volatile. The SOL value of any winnings could decline significantly between the time you commit funds and when you receive them. Digital assets can lose value rapidly and unpredictably, including potentially losing all value.

No Fiat Currency Guarantees HIGH

Payouts are denominated in SOL, not in any fiat currency. Even if you receive more SOL than you committed, the USD value may be lower due to price movements during the season. There is no mechanism for fiat-denominated compensation.

4Voting and Game Mechanics Risk

Vote Coordination Risk HIGH

The outcome of each round is determined by community voting. Well-organized groups of participants may coordinate to vote against any fighter regardless of its relative strength or backing. You have no guarantee that the fighter you back will survive any round.

Late-Round Backing Arms Race MEDIUM

Backing a fighter mid-vote-round increases vote weight but also increases the total SOL you have at risk. The competitive "arms race" mechanic — where backers of other fighters also add more SOL — can result in escalating commitments without improving your odds of survival.

Fallback Elimination MEDIUM

If no fighter receives any votes in a round, the Protocol's fallback mechanism eliminates the fighter with the lowest total backing. This is a deterministic Protocol rule and cannot be overridden.

Your Fighter Being Eliminated CRITICAL

If the fighter you backed is eliminated from the battle, you will not receive any winnings. You will lose 100% of the SOL you committed to that fighter. There are no partial refunds or consolation prizes.

5Technical / Interface Risk

Wallet Compromise CRITICAL

If your wallet private key or seed phrase is compromised, an attacker can drain your entire wallet, including any winning claims. Keep your seed phrase secure, never share it, and use hardware wallets for significant amounts.

Interface Unavailability MEDIUM

This Interface may be taken offline at any time. However, the Protocol itself continues to operate on-chain. If this Interface is unavailable, you can still interact with the Protocol directly using the smart contract address and a compatible Solana wallet or CLI tool.

RPC Node Failures MEDIUM

The Interface connects to Solana via an RPC endpoint. If the RPC provider experiences downtime, the Interface may be unable to submit or retrieve transactions. Switching to a different RPC endpoint may resolve the issue.

Phishing and Fake Interfaces CRITICAL

Malicious actors may create fake copies of this Interface at different URLs to steal your wallet credentials or sign malicious transactions. Always verify you are at degenbrawlers.com before connecting your wallet or approving any transaction.

6Regulatory Risk

Legal and Regulatory Changes HIGH

Laws and regulations governing blockchain applications, decentralized protocols, and digital asset activities are evolving rapidly and differ across jurisdictions. The Interface may be required to restrict access, modify features, or cease operations in response to regulatory developments. You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

Restricted Jurisdiction Risk HIGH

Using this Interface from a jurisdiction where it is restricted — including by using VPN circumvention — exposes you to legal risk. Neither the Interface nor the Protocol provides any protection against prosecution under applicable local laws.

7No Advice; Your Responsibility

Nothing in this Interface, these disclosures, or any communication from the Interface operators constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making any financial decisions.

By using this Interface, you acknowledge that you have read and understood all risks described in this document, that you are voluntarily assuming all such risks, and that you may lose all funds you commit to the Protocol.

8Responsible Participation

If participation in this Protocol is causing financial or emotional distress, please consider using the self-exclusion feature available in the Interface settings, or contact a support resource:
